The research for dietary interventions is lacking because of shortage of funding and difficulty to design such a study. The research for pharmaceuticals is better funded and easier to design studies. Nevertheless, Dr. Krauss explains that he believes both are impactful for correcting LDL levels and mitigating risk of cardiovascular disease.
