@mikecarey Sorry I missed this…I remember this study and found it very interesting in terms of the exhaling of carbon dioxide being an important way to get rid of energy from fat (via carbon release). I also think that during catabolic states (ie. in between meals) it is important to burn fat instead of muscle and from my research being heat adapted and having enough protein seems to be important for this.
